Student Options for Problems
Student Handbook Excerpts

Nursing & Allied Health

Always refer to your current student handbook for updates and revisions

Students are urged to maintain close and clear communication with their clinical teacher. If problems occur that cannot be resolved by the clinical teacher, the student may speak with the Lead Teacher for the course. The Course Lead Teacher may act to resolve the problem, or may ask the entire teaching team to meet with the student. Any student may at any time make an appointment with the Program Director/Department Head to discuss his/her status in the program

If a student has explored the above options without a satisfactory resolution of the problem, he/she may request a conference with the Dean, Program Director and teacher of record. If the teacher of record is the Program Director, the Assistant Program Director will attend the conference. If the student is dissatisfied after exhausting all departmental avenues, he/she may request a conference with the Dean of Student Affairs to discuss further options. These options are established in the LBCC Policy on Student Conduct (6440) which can be found in the office of the Dean of Student Affairs.
